Tax Returns Unveiled to Secure Transparency in Elections Act or the TRUST in Elections Act
This bill requires any candidate for President or Vice President to report their last 10 years of federal income tax returns to the Office of Government Ethics, which the office shall publish on its public website after making the necessary redactions to prevent identity theft or physical danger.
Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, and in addition to the Committee on Oversight and Reform, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
