This resolution recognizes and applauds the United Nations for proclaiming 2019 as the "International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements."

The resolution also commends the global community of chemists for their efforts to (1) advance the field of chemistry, (2) recognize the International Year of the Periodic Table, and (3) participate in events marking such year as an important scientific milestone and global celebration.
