Plain-English summary
Strengthening Coastal Communities Act of 2020
This bill directs revenues generated from leases for wind energy development on offshore federal lands to the National Oceans and Coastal Security Fund. Under current law, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation may use the fund to provide grants to coastal communities to help them understand and utilize ocean and coastal resources and infrastructure, such as resources to help them prepare for extreme weather events.
