Cardiomyopathy Health Education, Awareness, Research, and Training in the Schools Act of 2020 or HEARTS Act of 2020

This bill establishes a series of programs and requirements relating to cardiomyopathy. (Cardiomyopathy is a collection of diverse conditions of the heart muscle.) The Department of Health and Human Services must convene an interdisciplinary working group to expand pediatric cardiomyopathy research, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention must (1) disseminate information about cardiomyopathy to certain school professionals and others, (2) report on certain research and surveillance activities, and (3) develop specified risk assessment tools for cardiomyopathy.
