Wind Energy Research and Development Act of 2019
This bill requires the Department of Energy to
- carry out a competitive grant program to research, develop, and evaluate wind energy technologies and systems;
- conduct a wind energy technology validation and market transformation program;
- reduce regulatory and market barriers to the widespread adoption of wind power, including grid transmission and integration challenges; and
- support the development of wildlife impact mitigation technologies to reduce the potential impacts of wind energy facilities on wildlife.
