Veterans Improved Access and Care Act of 2019

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to carry out a pilot program at a minimum of 10 medical facilities to assess the feasibility and advisability of expediting the VA's process for onboarding new medical providers. Priority shall be given to facilities facing hiring shortages of licensed and independent medical providers.

The VA is also required to submit to Congress a strategy to reduce the duration of its hiring process for licensed medical providers.
