Tibetan Refugee Assistance Act of 2017

This bill makes 3,000 immigrant visas available in FY2017-FY2019 for individuals who were born in Tibet and have been continuously residing in India or Nepal prior to the date of the enactment of this Act.

An individual shall be considered to be a native of Tibet if such individual was born in Tibet or is the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of an individual born in Tibet.

The bill provides derivative status for accompanying/following spouses and children.
