Commends the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the academic and industry contributors to the Viking Mission for leading the way in the exploration of Mars.
Recognizes the importance of the Viking Mission to the long-term exploration of the solar system by NASA and to the search for life beyond Earth.
Encourages NASA to continue on the path to landing American astronauts on the surface of Mars.
