STEM Gateways Act
This bill directs the Department of Education to award competitive grants for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) elementary and secondary school programs that:
- encourage interest in the STEM fields;
- motivate engagement in the STEM fields by providing relevant hands-on learning opportunities;
- support classroom success in the STEM disciplines;
- support STEM workforce training and career preparation for secondary school students; or
- improve the access of secondary school students to STEM career and continuing education opportunities.
