Suppressor Export Act

This bill amends the Arms Export Control Act to provide that a regulation or related implementing policy or practice regarding registration and licensing requirements for manufacturers, exporters, or importers of designated defense articles and defense services may not prohibit the otherwise lawful export for sale or transfer of any firearm silencer or component, if:

  • the item may be lawfully manufactured in the United States; and
  • the importing country has a lawful public or private use market for such item and is not listed as a country prohibited from receiving arms exports.
