Social Security Child Protection Act of 2015

Amends title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) of the Social Security Act to direct the Commissioner of Social Security to issue a new Social Security number to a child who has not attained the age of 14 in cases where confidentiality has been compromised:

  • by reason of theft of related documentation, or
  • by reason of public disclosure of information regarding deceased individuals that includes such number by mistake.
