Recognizes: (1) the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations (U.N.), and (2) the critical role it plays in maintaining international peace.

Applauds the U.N. for: (1) its leadership in addressing global health crises, including the global fight against HIV/AIDS; and (2) its response to humanitarian crises, which resulted in escalation of displacements in countries such as Syria, Iraq, South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Liberia, and Cote d'Ivoire.

Commends the U.N. for its commitment to eradicating poverty and hunger.

Urges the President to issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe the 70th anniversary of the U.N. with appropriate activities.
