Reaffirms: (1) support for Taiwan's democratic institutions, and (2) that peace in the Taiwan Strait should be maintained to the benefit of the free people of Taiwan.
Supports the commitment to Taiwan's security, including the sale of sophisticated defensive weapons to Taiwan.
