States that the House of Representatives has learned with profound sorrow of the death of Nelson Mandela, former President of the Republic of South Africa.

Tenders its sympathies to the members of his family and his fellow citizens.

Honors the life, accomplishments, and legacy of Nelson Mandela and for his friendship to the United States.

Requests the Secretary of State to communicate these expressions of sentiment to Nelson Mandela's family and to the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.

Requests that when the House adjourns today it do so as a mark of respect to the memory of Nelson Mandela.
