Plain-English summary
Volunteer Freedom Act - Repeals the National and Community Service Act of 1990 (NCSA) and the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 (DVSA) one year after this Act's enactment. (The NCSA authorizes the Learn and Serve America, AmeriCorps, and National Civilian Community Corps [NCCC] programs. The DVSA authorizes the Volunteers in Service to America [VISTA] and National Senior Service Corps programs.)
Preserves the educational awards volunteers earn before the NCSA and DVSA are repealed.
