Expresses support for: (1) the goals and ideals of National Diabetes Month; and (2) decreasing the prevalence of diabetes, developing better treatments, and working toward an eventual cure in the United States through increased research, treatment, and prevention.
Recognizes the importance of early detection and awareness of the symptoms and risk factors for diabetes.
