Daniel Pearl Freedom of the Press Act of 2009 - Directs the Secretary of State, with the assistance of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, to provide Congress with an "Annual Report on the Status of Freedom of the Press Worldwide."

Sets forth Report provisions.

Directs the Secretary to administer a grant program to promote freedom of the press worldwide, which shall be administered by the Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor as part of the Human Rights Democracy Fund.
