Medicare Fraud Prevention Act of 2008 - Amends title XI of the Social Security Act (SSA) to increase civil money penalties, criminal fines, and prison sentences for fraud and abuse under the SSA title XVIII (Medicare) program.

Amends SSA title XVIII to increase the amount of the surety bond required for suppliers of durable medical equipment (DME).
