Payment Accuracy Improvement Act of 2006 - Declares that, for payments to hospitals under under title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act for discharges occurring during FY2006-FY2007, the Secretary of Health and Human Services may not apply an occupational mix adjustment to more than 10% of the Medicare hospital area wage index.

Requires the Secretary, when applying such an occupational mix adjustment, to use only the data that was to be used to make the adjustment to such wage index under the proposed rule published by the Secretary in the Federal Register on April 25, 2006.
