Federal Wildland Firefighter Emergency Response Compensation Act of 2005 - Entitles a wildland firefighter employed by the Department of Agriculture or the Department of the Interior to compensation for the entire period of time such firefighter is engaged in officially ordered or approved duties in responding to a wildland fire or other emergency. Limits such compensation, for any 24-hour period, to the sum of 16 times the firefighter's hourly rate of basic pay, and eight times the firefighter's overtime hourly rate of pay.

Treats wildland firefighter compensation received pursuant to this Act as basic pay for Federal retirement pay purposes.
