Plain-English summary
Sacramento Public Safety Act of 2003 - Authorizes the Secretary of the Army to carry out a project for flood damage reduction and ecosystem restoration for the American River in Sacramento, California, in accordance with the plans and conditions described in the Report of the Chief of Engineers dated November 5, 2002.
Directs the Secretary of Transportation: (1) as part of that project, to carry out a project to design and construct a bridge west of and adjacent to Folsom Dam, including necessary linkages from the bridge to existing roadways; and (2) to make a grant to California for up to 80 percent of the cost for the construction of that project.
