Flag Protection Act of 2002 - Amends the Federal criminal code to revise provisions regarding desecration of the U.S. flag to: (1) include as a "flag" one that would be taken to be a U.S. flag by a reasonable observer; (2) prohibit destroying or damaging a flag with the primary purpose and intent to, and under circumstances in which such action is reasonably likely to, produce imminent violence or a breach of the peace; and (3) prohibit stealing or knowingly converting to personal use or the use of another a U.S. flag belonging to the United States, or, on U.S. lands, a U.S. flag belonging to another person, and intentionally destroying or damaging that flag.
