Middle Income Home Heating Assistance Act of 2001 - Amends the Internal Revenue Code to allow a refundable income-based credit of up to $500 per year for specified natural gas costs incurred for residential heating.
Requires persons supplying natural gas at the retail level to provide consumers, upon request, with sufficient information to determine eligibility for, and the amount of, such credit.
