Affordable Housing Assistance Act of 2000 - Amends Federal law to fund the shelter plus care program exclusively from amounts appropriated for section 8 (rental assistance) of the United States Housing Act of 1937. Authorizes additional section 8 appropriations for the shelter plus care program.
Authorizes additional appropriations for section 8 voucher assistance.
Amends the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 to authorize appropriations for the community development block grant program.
