 Plain-English summary Congressional Research Service

Amends the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Research Act of 1978, as amended by the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998, to provide that at the request of the Governor of Maine, New Hampshire, New York, or Vermont, the Secretary of Agriculture may cooperate with certain agricultural research programs.

Amends the Honey Research, Promotion, and Consumer Information Act, as amended by the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Educational Reform Act of 1998, to increase the honey assessment rate.
