Police Badge Fraud Prevention Act of 1998 - Amends the Federal criminal code to prohibit knowingly: (1) transferring, transporting, or receiving in interstate or foreign commerce, a counterfeit police badge; (2) transferring, in interstate or foreign commerce, a genuine police badge to an individual not authorized to possess it under the law of the place in which the badge is the official badge of the police; (3) receiving a genuine police badge in such a prohibited transfer; or (4) transporting a genuine police badge in interstate or foreign commerce being a person unauthorized to possess it.
