Disabled Veterans Automobile Allowance Improvement Act of 1998 - Increases from $5,500 to $6,837 the maximum amount of authorized assistance from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to certain disabled veterans for the purchase of an automobile and adaptive equipment necessary for its operation.

Directs the Secretary to adjust such amount annually for inflation, beginning in FY 1999.
