Point Reyes National Seashore Farmland Protection Act of 1997 - Amends Federal law to include the Farmland Protection Area in the Point Reyes National Seashore, California, with the primary objective being to protect private agricultural land from nonagricultural development by conservation easements.

Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to make farmland acquisitions within the Area. Authorizes appropriations.
