DEBATE - Pursuant to the provisions of H. Res. 334, the House proceeded with one hour of debate on the motion to agree to the Senate amendment with amendments.

The rule makes in order one motion to take the bill from the Speaker's table with the Senate amendment thereto, to agree to the Senate amendment with an amendment to delete all provisions contained in the Senate amendment and add new provisions to provide continued funding of selected federal activities through FY 1996 and to consider any furloughed employee who returns to work as an "essential employee," and provide funding for such employees from December 16, 1995 to January 26, 1996, and to amend the title of the bill. The rule provides for one hour of debate on the motion, equally divided and controlled by the Chairman and Ranking Minority Member of the Committee on Appropriations.
