Plain-English summary
Community Development Banking and Financial Institutions Act of 1993 - Establishes the Community Development Banking and Financial Institutions Fund as a wholly-owned Government corporation to provide financial and technical assistance and training to enable community development financial institutions to invest in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods and Indian reservations. Prescribes program parameters.
Requires the Fund to: (1) establish an information clearinghouse in coordination with certain Federal agencies; and (2) study and report on its practices and performance. Authorizes appropriations.
