Asbestos Information Act of 1987 - Requires asbestos or asbestos-containing material manufacturers to report to the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency on the years of manufacture, the types or classes or product, and other identifying characteristics. Requires the Administrator to publish such information.

Requires the owner of a building containing asbestos or asbestos-containing material to conduct inspections and take samples which may be analyzed at an accredited laboratory before commencing a civil action to recover abatement costs or seek other relief related to the presence of asbestos. Requires such information to be attached to any civil complaint.

Directs the Secretary of Commerce to develop and publish protocols for such samples and to develop an accreditation program for laboratories providing such analyses.
