Adult Education Act Amendments of 1987 - Amends the Adult Education Act to authorize the Secretary of Education to make grants to eligible States for adult education programs which teach literacy skills needed in the workplace through partnerships between the business community and educational agencies or schools.

Sets forth State eligibility and program requirements.

Allows the Secretary to make direct grants to qualified applicants from ineligible States.

Authorizes appropriations for FY 1988 through 1992.
