Follow up meeting on SEIU endorsement of a Senate Resolution introduced by Senators Wyden, Markey, King in support of expressing the sense of the Senate that the HHS Sec'y should withdraw a proposed reduction in public notice and comment opportunities; and subsequent conversations with Senate Offices urging their cosponsorship. Consultation with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez's office on a letter to the HELP and related agencies subcommittee requesting investment in programs, oversight, and research for older adults and people with disabilities who receive long-term care. Follow-up meeting with Rep. Jayapal's office to discuss reintroduction of the Medicare for All Act of 2025. Meeting with Rep. Schakowsky's office discussing support for Nurse Staffing Standards for Hospital Patient Safety and Quality Care Act of 2025 (S. 1709).
