H. Con Res. 14 - This concurrent resolution establishes the congressional budget for the federal government for FY2025, sets forth budgetary levels for FY2026-FY2034, and provides reconciliation instructions for legislation that increases or decreases the deficit and increases the statutory debt limit by specified amounts. H.R. 2607 - AFRIKANER Act would grant Priority-2 refugee status to residents of South Africa who are members of the Afrikaner ethnic minority group that have suffered persecution, or have a well-founded fear of persecution, on account of their race, ethnicity, or ancestry. H.R. 1 - One Big Beautiful Bill Act is a reconciliation bill aimed to reduce taxes and spending for various federal programs, increase the statutory debt limit, and otherwise address agencies and programs throughout the federal government. H.R.1327 - Fairness in Freedom Act - To establish the right to counsel, at Government expense for those who cannot afford counsel, for people facing removal. PAROLE Act (Protecting Against Removal Of Lawfully Entered) - (not yet introduced) protections for DED and CHNV parolees World Refugee Day Resolution - H.Res 533 - Reaffirming the importance of the United States promoting the safety, health, and well-being of refugees and displaced persons in the United States and around the world. Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Appropriations Homeland Security; Commerce, Justice and Science, bills - to provide funding for the government in FY26. Executive Branch Executive Order Restricting the Entry of Foreign Nationals - fully restricts and limits the entry of 12 countries, and partially restricts and limits the entry of nationals from 7 more. Temporary Protected Status - urged redesignations and extensions of TPS for Afghanistan, Venezuela, Haiti, Honduras Disappearances/flights/removals to third countries - urged the administration to halt executive actions to forcibly transfer and disappear noncitizens to third countries including Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and elsewhere. Parole - urged the administration to not terminate various parole programs and status attached to parole for those who had been previously admitted to the United States. Revocation of Student Visas - Condemned Secretary of State Rubios stated plan to aggressively revoke Chinese student visas

Foreign Relations

Global Respect Act of 2025 - S. 2180 - To impose sanctions with respect to foreign persons responsible for violations of the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) individuals, and for other purposes. GLOBE Act of 2025 - H.R. 4245 - To protect human rights and enhance opportunities for LGBTQI people around the world, and for other purposes. Section 7031(c) Visa Restrictions - Advocated for the imposition of Section 7031(c) visa restrictions against foreign government officials involved in gross human rights violations and/or significant corruption. Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Appropriations State and Foreign Ops/Financial Services and General Government bill - to provide funding for the government in FY26. Executive Branch Global Magnitsky sanctions - Urged the administration to impose sanctions on an Egyptian official and U.S. company reportedly involved in the corruption scheme of former Senator Robert Menendez. Opposed the delisting of a Hungarian official who had been sanctioned for corruption in January 2025. International Criminal Court sanctions - Opposed the imposition of sanctions against four International Criminal Court judges under Executive Order 14203.

FY26 Appropriations - Advocated for all appropriations bills to not erode civil rights protections, undermine the dignity of LGBTQ+ people, and entrench exclusionary policies into federal law Nomination of Joe Kent - Opposed the confirmation of Joe Kent to serve as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Nomination of Anthony Tata - Led a letter to oppose the confirmation of Anthony Tata to serve as Under Secretary of of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Executive Branch OPMs Proposed Suitability and Fitness Rulemaking - Joined a comment opposing OPMs Proposed Suitability and Fitness Rulemaking that would target civil servants based on politics rather than merit First Amendment & Free Speech - Urged the administration to discontinue its attack on First Amendment rights, including its decision to deploy the National Guard against protestors.
