Plain-English summary
Employee Polygraph Protection Act - Prohibits any employer from using any lie detector test or examination in the work place, for both pre-employment testing and testing in the course of employment.
Requires the Secretary of Labor to prepare and have printed notices setting forth this prohibition. Requires employers to post these notices.
Provides penalties for violations of this Act.
Exempts Federal, State, and local employees from the Act's coverage.
