 Lobbying activity 2
Medicare/Medicaid

Advocated for continued funding and regulatory support for the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model of care. Discussed regulatory and legislative barriers to increased enrollment of eligible individuals into PACE programs, and to expansion of the model into additional states. Urged congressional offices to support policies that expand PACE eligibility, remove barriers to state adoption, and provide consistent and appropriate capitation rates via Medicare and Medicaid. Additionally, we met with senior staff at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services to discuss existing and proposed CMMI models, and how PACE programs might participate. Also discussed was the role of PACE programs in serving higher-needs Medicare beneficiaries currently enrolled in traditional Medicare, but who may be better served through a PACE program.

Budget/Appropriations

Discussed a Congressional Directed Spending request (Community Project Funding) as part of the FY 2027 appropriations process, including funding for capital improvements and infrastructure repairs at affordable senior housing facilities in Bronx County, New York.
