Discussed with Senate and Congressional offices about SCSUs upcoming 2026-27 tentative budget; State Senator Kent Williams and I visited all of South Carolinas congressional offices, where I made a formal introduction as SCSUs federal lobbyist. We shared the highlights of the University the challenges of addressing our aging infrastructure. I made select members of our congressional delegation aware of SCSUs grant application launching the Center for AI in Education (CAIE) and asking for letters of support.

Discussed the state of the pending Transportation Center to be housed at SCSU with Congressional office
Discussed general government related issues with all congressional offices.
Discussed general education issues with members of the south carolina delegation.
