Plain-English summary
Authorizes the Inspector General of the Department of Defense to suspend or revise the schedule for payments of a defense contract under which excessive charges to the United States have been made and other available remedies are insufficient to redress the abuse.
Permits the Secretary of Defense to overrule such action in the interest of national security. Directs the Secretary to report to the appropriate congressional committees within 30 days, justifying such supersedure.
