Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan Amendments of 1982 - Prohibits the Office of Personnel Management from entering into a contract for a discriminatory health benefits plan for Federal employees.
Requires that Federal health plans: (1) include all benefits currently authorized as well as nervous and mental disorder benefits and alcoholism and substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation benefits; (2) provide equal coverage and benefits regardless of the nature of illness; and (3) pay all reasonable and customary expenses for medically or psychologically necessary treatment exceeding a specified amount to be paid by the enrollee.
