This bill allows for the separation of enterprise units (EUs) for fallow and continuous acreage of crops in counties under the Federal Crop Insurance Program. An EU is an insurance unit structure that consists of all insurable acreage of the same insured crop in the county in which a farmer has a share on the date coverage begins for the crop year. Separate EUs may be selected for a crop based on certain irrigation or cropping practices.
