Public School Green Rooftop Program

This bill allows state energy conservation plans established under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to include programs that award grants for green roofs on public elementary school and secondary school buildings. Under the bill, a green roof is a layer of vegetation planted over a waterproofing system or waterproof management practice that is installed on top of a flat or slightly-sloped roof that may support plant growth.
