CDC Leadership Accountability Act of 2023

This bill changes a requirement that the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention be confirmed by the Senate beginning on January 20, 2025. The bill changes the effective date for the requirement to June 1, 2023. The bill also specifies that an individual appointed to the position during the period that begins  on June 1, 2023, and ends when this bill is enacted is deemed to serve in an acting capacity until their confirmation by the Senate.
