This concurrent resolution commends and expresses solidarity with environmental defenders. Condemning the targeting, harassment, and unlawful detention of any individual or group for exercising rights of free association and expression, the resolution recognizes the role that environmental defenders play as human rights defenders.
Referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and in addition to the Committee on Financial Services, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
