This resolution expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that Congress should support policies that increase oil refinery capacity to meet short-term fuel demands while considering the United States' long-term climate and sustainability goals. The resolution also expresses the sense that the President should provide targeted assistance to restart idled refineries.
Referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in addition to the Committee on Financial Services, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
