This resolution recognizes the skill, bravery, and loyalty of the veterans of Civil Air Transport and Air America and honors the sacrifices they made while protecting the United States. (Civil Air Transport was an airline acquired by the Central Intelligence Agency during the Cold War that flew covert missions in various theaters in Asia. Air America was Civil Air Transport's successor airline that also flew such missions.)
