Primary Care Patient Protection Act of 2019
This bill modifies the requirements for the high deductible health plans that are required for tax-preferred health savings accounts. The bill requires the plans to offer coverage with no deductible for primary care services provided during the first two visits during a year to an individual's designated primary care provider. The primary care provider must be a general practitioner, family physician, general internist, obstetrician, gynecologist, pediatrician, geriatric physician, or advanced practice registered nurse acting in accordance with state laws.
