Stop the Killing in Syria Act

This bill requires the President to impose visa- and property-blocking sanctions against specified persons that assist or support Syria in malign activities and crimes against its own people, and it requires the Department of State to submit a strategy for removing the al-Assad regime from power and achieving a transition to a free and democratic Syria. Further, the bill prohibits any federal department or agency from recognizing any Syrian government led by Bashar al-Assad or the legitimacy of Bashar al-Assad as President of Syria.
