Jump-Start the American Economy Act

This bill permits states to provide a maximum of six weeks of reemployment benefits to individuals who were eligible for pandemic unemployment compensation prior to the enactment of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act but who are no longer eligible as a result of becoming reemployed.

An individual is not eligible for reemployment benefits if the individual's weekly wages exceed the total amount of unemployment assistance received for the week prior to becoming reemployed and as determined under state law.
