Protect Vulnerable Students from Surprise Tax Bills Act

This bill excludes from gross income, for income tax purposes, any qualified emergency financial aid grant. A qualified emergency financial aid grant is any amount received by a degree candidate at an institution of higher education for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019).
