Streamlining GI Bill Processing Act of 2020
This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to ensure that individuals who are entitled to educational assistance under specified VA programs are able to access an electronic version of the certificate of eligibility showing their entitlement to such assistance.
Specifically, the VA must provide electronic certificates to those who are entitled to educational assistance under the (1) Post 9/11 GI Bill, (2) Montgomery GI Bill (Active Duty and Selected Reserve), and (3) Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance program.
